‘Au Quartier Latin’ is officially open in Kénitra and it has already set a new standard for dining in the city. This elegant French restaurant welcomed its first guests on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the corner of Rue Amira Aicha and Rue Sebta, right opposite the new theatre. Behind this ambitious project stand Verónica and Nohemi who together have brought a bold and heartfelt gastronomic vision to Kénitra. ‘Au Quartier Latin’ is not just a restaurant. It is a story worth tasting.

What Is ‘Au Quartier Latin’?

‘Au Quartier Latin’ is a new French restaurant in the heart of Kénitra, born from a dream shared by Verónica Lebon and her mother Nohemi Chavez. Together, they bring the rigour and deep respect for classical French cuisine they discovered during their travels alongside the warmth, colour, and generous spirit of their Latin roots that makes every guest feel instantly at home.

Together, they built a space where quality, generosity, and the pleasure of welcoming people sit at the heart of everything. With a capacity of up to 110 guests, the venue is perfectly suited for both intimate moments and larger gatherings. Furthermore, fresh and seasonal ingredients guide every dish on the menu. The result is a gastronomic experience that feels both refined and genuinely accessible.

Lunch, Dinner: Two Different Experiences

‘Au Quartier Latin’ adapts beautifully to the rhythm of your day. At lunchtime, the service is fast and efficient, perfectly suited to professionals and visitors on the go. Balanced formulas at gentle prices make it easy to enjoy a quality meal without slowing down.

In the evening, the atmosphere shifts entirely. The room becomes softer, warmer, and more intimate. It is the ideal setting to share a great dish, enjoy a glass of juice, or experience one of the restaurant’s themed evenings. Consequently, ‘Au Quartier Latin’ works just as well for a quick business lunch as for a long, leisurely dinner with friends or family. Groups are welcome by reservation.

Who Is Behind the Kitchen?

The kitchen team at ‘Au Quartier Latin’ is led by a passionate young Italian chef. Trained in both French and Italian gastronomic techniques, he brings with his team an authentic and creative touch to every single plate. His cooking reflects the same values that Verónica and Nohemi built this project upon: honesty, generosity, and a deep love of good food.

Moreover, every dish is made entirely in-house, from scratch, with real ingredients. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is compromised. The result is a cuisine that is full of flavour, carefully executed, and deeply satisfying. The ‘savoir-faire’ of the team is evident from the very first bite.

Additionally, the restaurant offers a charming touch of transparency: you can watch the kitchen team at work directly through the window. It is a detail that speaks volumes about the confidence and pride this team has in what they do.

What Did MAwebzine Experience at the Pre-Opening?

On Thursday evening, two days before official opening, ‘Au Quartier Latin’ served a full gastronomic tasting menu to pre-opening guests. It was a carefully constructed journey through Franco-Italian flavours. Verónica Lebon and her charming mother welcomed us with genuine warmth from very first moment. It felt like coming home.

Each course arrived beautifully presented. The space left us speechless. High-quality materials, a superb bar, elegant wooden tables, and comfortable bucket chairs created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and deeply welcoming. The overall experience left no doubt: the Lebon-Chavez family means serious business.

Beautifully seasonad Italian Beef Carpaccio: the star of the starters

The Pre-Opening Tasting Menu

The evening opened with two elegant bites. First, an artisanal focaccia with stracciatella, confit tomatoes, and pesto; light, fragrant, and immediately impressive. Then came the French Toast with Foie Gras, a luxurious and perfectly balanced introduction to the chef’s Franco-Italian vision.

Two starters followed, each showcasing precision and freshness. The Italian Beef Carpaccio was thinly sliced, beautifully seasoned, and clean on the palate. Next, the Beet-cured Salmon Gravlax arrived with a bright lemon cream; stunning to look at and even better to eat.

The main course offered two exceptional choices. The Homemade Ravioli stuffed with Beef came topped with slow-cooked pulled confit short ribs; rich, generous, and deeply comforting. The Beef Tenderloin Rossini, a Franco-Italian classic, was executed with quiet confidence; tender, precise, and outstanding.

The evening closed on a sweet and memorable note. The Tiramisu was restrained, perfectly layered, and deeply satisfying. Then came the “Crêpes Suzette”, served with pure elegance; the showstopping finale of the tasting menu.
